Verte Investments ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.verteinvestments.com, why we collect it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Who is responsible

What we collect

• Enquiry form: your full name, email address, phone number, the consultation type and sector you select, and anything you write in the project description and notes.
• Technical information: your IP address and basic browser information, which our hosting provider records in server logs and which we use briefly to limit repeated form submissions.
• Spam protection: when you use the enquiry form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser and device signals to confirm you are not an automated bot.
• Language preference: a cookie remembering whether you chose English or French.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss the services or opportunity you asked about.
• To protect the website and our inbox from spam and abuse.
• To show the website in your preferred language.

We process enquiry information with your consent, which you give when you submit the form, and because it is needed to take the steps you request before any engagement. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the website, under their own privacy and security terms:

• Vercel Inc. hosts the website (servers may be outside South Africa).
• Cloudflare, Inc. provides the Turnstile spam check on the enquiry form.
• Our email service provider delivers and stores enquiry emails in our business mailbox.
• Google LLC, only if you choose to load the map on our contact page. Google may then set its own cookies. The map does not load until you click it.

Some of these providers process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on them to provide protection comparable to POPIA, as POPIA requires for cross-border transfers.

Links to WhatsApp and LinkedIn take you to those services, which handle your information under their own policies.

How long we keep it

The website itself does not store enquiries in a database; your enquiry is sent to our business mailbox. We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to respond and to manage any resulting business relationship, and then delete them. IP addresses used to limit form submissions are held in memory for about ten minutes. The language cookie expires after one year.

How we protect it

The website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), the enquiry form is validated and protected against spam and abuse, and access to our business mailbox is restricted to authorised staff.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may:

• ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy;
• ask us to correct or delete your information;
• object to our processing of your information, or withdraw your consent; and
• complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

Cookies

We use one functional cookie (preferredLang) to remember your language choice. It is not used for tracking. If you load the Google map, Google may set its own cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
